These are some excellent freeware of open source software’s that you can use on your PC or Mac.

GIMP or GIMP shop as they call it. Is a photo editing software that is open source. Since GIMP is an open source you don’t have to pay to use it. GIMP has the same features that Adobe Photoshop has. If you download GIMP and don’t buy Adobe Photoshop you can save 100 $.

Some internet protection I use and recommend to you:

AVG is one of the best antivirus software that is free, but you can buy it to get even better protection. It updates everyday and it will delete every virus, worm and Trojan. If you want to download AVG just Google it.

COMODO firewall pro is a free firewall that can run at the same time as the windows firewall. COMODO will first scan your PC to see what it need to protect. Just Google it nd you’ll find the COMODO firewall.

ATF cleaner will help you to clean your registry: Temp files, internet history, cookies, recycling bin and java cache.

 

Some free music and video players:

Win amp is a great music, video player that is free and you can pay to get more features.

VLC player is free software that plays the most of the media files (AVI, mpg, mpeg, mov and so on).

FLV player can play flv files and you properly wonder “where am I going to get flv files.” If you download a YouTube video then it’s in flv format. FLV player is free.

 

7zip is a open sorce file extracter. It can exstract almost all zip files. If you want to download 7zip just Google it.

WinRAR have a free version and you can buy it. WinRAR can extract all the zip files that you can find.

 

Text editors:

Notetab and Notepad++ are good text editors that are free and you can edit php, batch, css…..
